#120: The Good Email News in This Year’s M+R Benchmark Report
May 30, 20212020 was a year like no other. We endured a health crisis, economic uncertainty and social unrest. But the generosity and kindness we showed were also unprecedented.
That was my big takeaway when I read the recent M+R Benchmark report, which tracks digital marketing and fundraising for the nonprofit sector. The results it showed confirmed what I was already seeing with my own nonprofit clients - that in the midst of multiple crises, people responded with compassion and empathy and generosity. And they broke records doing it.
I do a deep dive in this episode, including:
- How increased online giving impacted all sectors of nonprofits - no group was left behind.
- Why the reports of email’s demise are greatly exaggerated - again.
- What types of digital advertising seemed to have the most impact based on ROI.
And I end the episode with a special free offer to my listeners to leverage the positive news of 2020 into an even more powerful digital marketing strategy this year.
