#9. Words That Have The Power To Inspire Giving

podcast Nov 12, 2018

Think for just a moment why your donors give to your nonprofit.

What’s the reason?

Maybe they lost a loved one to an issue or cause that your nonprofit is focused on addressing.

Or they’re super passionate about the work you’re concentrated on making better for kids, animals, lovers of art or science.

Whatever the case may be, the reasons people give is as unique as the giver.

And people give to programs and causes that are close to their heart.

Your job is to help people understand how the work of your organization gives them the opportunity to be the person they imagine themselves to be.

How?

By using words in all your marketing and communications outreach that connects them to their innermost perceptions of who they are or want to be as individuals. Words that reinforce how the act of giving aligns with their values, and confirm their beliefs.

And in this episode I’m sharing those words.

Backed by research, these are the words that create emotional connection that inspires action - like the action of giving to your good cause.

Remember, caring is the most powerful marketing strategy there is. Let your words show how much you truly care.
